New Opening of Dalong Market – Taipei City Market Administration Office (TCMA) Continues to Engage in Vendor Promotions
Taipei City Dalong Market (No. 347, Sec. 3, Chongqing N. Rd., Datong Dist., Taipei City) was officially opened yesterday (12/13). The market features wet/dry separation design for the south and north area, as well as temperature-controlled equipment for fresh food ingredients, the banning of melamine tableware, and the introduction of diverse e-payment methods, enabling consumers to shop in the market with peace of mind and convenience. In continuing the bustling vibe of yesterday’s opening, the TCMA has designed guided tour itineraries for Dalong Market by incorporating the history and culture of the Dalongdong region, where the market is located, in order to attract customers. Today (12/14), cultural worker Cheng Li-Chen led a group of 30 citizens to visit historic monuments such as the Confucius Temple and Baoan Temple before heading to Dalong Market to experience the charisma of the neo-traditional market.
In an effort to help vendors in the market to bring back customers quickly, TCMA has conducted promotional campaigns during the soft-opening in preparation for the market’s official opening. These include public transport advertisements near the market to let citizens along the route know that Dalong Market will soon be opened, and the market opening-related information is also shown on MRT lightboxes. Aside from conventional advertising and promotional materials, Dalong Market’s opening-related details are also featured on the Police Broadcasting Service, Taipei, Good City fan page, Dalong Market fan page, as well as the city hall and Guanghua advertising wall. The city government will continue to pay attention to the vendors’ operations and protect their rights.
