Transfer bus to Taipei Children’s Amusement Park began to charge one way fare on April 7, 2015
When the Taipei Children’s Amusement Park was open in December 2014, the Taipei Public Transportation Office (hereafter refers to as the Office) planned free transfer bus between the amusement park, MRT Jiantan Station and MRT Shilin Station (passing MRT Zhishan Station), in order to cope with a large number of crowds, and attract more people choosing public transportation.
Since the amusement park was open, the number of visitors to the park every day had become steady, and people had been used to travel with public transportation. Based on that users are the payers, the transfer bus service was no longer free after April 6, 2015. Like other city buses, the transfer bus going on “Amusement Park Shilin Line” (MRT Zhishan Station, Shilin Station – Taipei Children’s Amusement Park) and “Amusement Park Jiantan Line” (MRT Jiantan Station – Taipei Children’s Amusement Park) began to charge one way fare on April 7, 2015.
The Office stressed that to travel with the transfer bus on these 2 lines, passengers please follow onsite signs or staff’s instructions to stay in queue. Barrier-free and friendly traveling environment are also available. The transfer bus service is provided by low-floor buses, which carry the sign “Bound for Children’s Amusement Park”.
People from Tamsui or Beitou could get on MRT and change to the transfer bus “Amusement Park Shilin Line” at MRT Shilin Station or Zhishan Station. People coming from Taipei Railway Station and other areas could get on the transfer bus “Amusement Park Jiantan Line” at MRT Jiantan Station. Other options are city buses including Bus 41, Bus 255 zone, Bus 288 zone, Bus 620 and Bus Red 30 also stop at “Taipei Children’s Amusement Park”.
