Taipei City Further Upgrades Childcare Policy: Public Childcare Expanded, Drop-In Childcare Increased, Parent-Child Centers Exceeded One Million Visits
To optimize the environment for childcare, Taipei City speeds up the establishment of public-private infant daycare centers by utilizing schools and other diverse spaces. Sixteen public-private infant daycare centers are expected to begin operations in 2026. Moreover, the city currently has a total of 24 stationary drop-in childcare centers located across different administrative districts, providing respite services for caregivers. Meanwhile, the highly regarded parent-child centers have surpassed one million visits annually. With these diverse services, Taipei City provides full support to families raising children.
