The evacuation gates installed along each river flowing through the city must be closed during typhoon or whenever a river is likely to overflow due to heavy rains. Facilities including evacuation gates along rivers shall be checked for their normal functioning. The opening and closing function is tested regularly at a scheduled midnight monthly starting from April, one month before the flood season, to November every year.
