What is a “Fire Fighting Passage”?

Fire fighting passage refers to the only rescue passage that leads to hard-to-reach fire scene or existing passages in the City which are less than 7.5 meters wide. Roads which are more than 140 meters away from the residential area or buildings in use (more than 140 meters for blind alleys, and more than 280 meters for two-way through roads) are designated as fire fighting passages.
