New Year’s Eve Reunion Feast began with the spectacular performance of the lion dance team. Mayor Hao presented the residents with mandarin oranges to wish the residents an auspicious year. The institute reported on the significant results of recent facility, equipment, and service programs. While launching the 2012 Whole-Day Service, the staff also carried out several complementary service programs in order to help the residents connect with their families. Mayor Hao expressed his appreciation to the Yang Ming Home and wished that these innovative programs will increase the public’s attention to the mentally disabled.
The feast was then followed by the performance Thank You, presented by the Sign Language Group. With a gentle melody, we thanked the staff and volunteers of Yang Ming Home and the hardworking families. During the dinner, Mayor Hao helped the residents who have difficulty swallowing and gave red envelopes to all the residents and the staff to wish everyone an auspicious year of the dragon. The feast ended in everybody’s enjoyment and happiness.
