Upcoming Taipei City Government Website Update to Improve User Experience
Department of Information Technology (DOIT) is inviting the public to play a role in transforming the official website of Taipei City Government.
First of its kind among local municipalities, the City will introduce the concept of User Experience (UX) as a guideline for the website design overhaul. Residents are invited to participate in a research program launched to learn about their opinions regarding what a city government website should look like.
The program will be conducted in the form of interviews by NTUST Ergonomics Assessment Laboratory, commissioned by DOIT. Each interview session, to last approximately 120 minutes, will explore participants’ experience of using the current Taipei City Government website as well as their expectations and advice for the renovated website in terms of layout, design, features, and content.
The program, in line with the City’s objective to realize public participation, aims to incorporate User-Centered Design and intuitive design in the official web portal of Taipei City Government. DOIT hopes that users’ feedback will help contribute to enhanced usability and performance of the renovated website.
Registration ends on 6 PM, May 15. To get involved, visit
