Spectacular Taipei Bimonthly No. 45 Invites You to Tour Summertime Taipei

Where are some fun and interesting places to visit in Taipei during summertime? Taipei City Government Department of Information and Tourism (TPEDOIT) Media Relations and Publications Division Acting Chief Zhong Ling-ling pointed out that the new issue of Spectacular Taipei recommends three tours for summertime. This issue highlights delicious street snacks at Gongguan and Yongkang/Qingtian Street neighborhood, as well as the youthful atmosphere at Ximending.
This issue introduced places worth visiting at Gongguan neighborhood such as Treasure Hill International Artist Village, THE WALL, PIPE Live Music, Lan Jia Guabao, and Chen San Ding Bubble Milk Tea.
Ximending has it all – movies, fashionable apparel, anime, music, street performers, and much more. As a well-loved shopping and entertainment district for young people, many celebrity-owned restaurants can also be found here. Among the many cherished nostalgic elements are the heritage buildings and old-time snack shops.
Visiting Yongkang Street neighborhood is a must for travelers who know their Xiaolongbao (steamed dumplings), mango ice, and beef noodles. Neighboring Qingtian Street features old Japanese-style residences that house restaurants, galleries, teahouses, and bookshops today.
Feasting in Taipei section spotlights ice treats to fend off the blazing summer. Shops constantly unveil new and creative shaved ice varieties to help you stay cool.
MRT Travel Fun sections introduces a few restaurants along the MRT Bannan Line. Some restaurants feature live shows at night.
Taipei Highlights section introduces places such as Huashan 1914 Creative Park, URS329 – Rice & Shine, and Treasure Hill Grocery Store.
Leisure & Arts Taipei section listed upcoming events such as Ximen Backstreet Festival, Taipei Dragon Boat Festival, Taipei Aqua Friendly Festival, and Taipei Children’s Arts Festival.
Spectacular Taipei Bimonthly brochure is published in Chinese, English, Japanese, and Korean. Readers can obtain a digital copy of the brochure at “Taipei ebooks” or on the website. The points of interest highlighted in the brochure is integrated with Google Map for ease of use. Readers can also download the app for offline reading.
The printed copy will be available on June 14 at the Information and Assistance Division located on the first floor of Taipei City Hall, as well as at tourist centers across the country.
